The Coorg Weekend
A spontaneous road trip to a coffee plantation in Coorg. They spent three days reading on the veranda, walking through cardamom trails, and watching the mist roll over the Western Ghats. Dev started writing a short story about it on the drive home.
The Book Launch
Dev's second novel launched at Atta Galatta. The dedication page read: 'For T, who makes every ordinary day feel like poetry.' Tara cried. Everyone else pretended not to notice.
The Garden Proposal
In Lalbagh Botanical Garden, by the Glass House, on a quiet Wednesday morning. Dev had written a poem that ended with a question. He read it aloud. Tara said yes before the last line. The gardeners applauded.
